Same old brand new Perth - Part 1

After a fatigue flight for several hours and suffering from severe sleep deficiency,i finally arrived in Perth. The feeling when i alighted the plane was "everything is so familiar to me". We went through quite a bit of hell passing by the custom but we got through it finally.

Alan was late to get us from the airport and it was HOT, despite early in the morning and I've lost one hour to it due to day light saving. It's just HOT, anyway. We picked up our rented car along the way home and to my disappointment,there's no more Yaris but a Getz, well, better than none.

After an afternoon nap,everyone felt refreshed and i thought we should go get some groceries for the week to come and it so happened that that was a Thursday which means there's night shopping in the suburb's shopping area, off we went to Karawara Coles. This place used to be my usual place to do groceries after classes as it's just next to Curtin and it's changed a bit since i left. Adeline said that the  once $3 Chicken Rice is now $3.50 and my brother had a big disgust reaction to that, it's quite unbelievable to him because that's the cheapest chicken rice he can find in Perth and it's now $3.50?? WTH....After that, the folks were feeling hungry and at that hour (it's nearly 9pm+ there in the photo), the only place i could think of still having food is Northbridge. Hence we went to the ever remembered "Uncle Billy's.

It turned out that i still recognize the road fairly well but i still do not fancy this place. Strange enough that i feel a little bit of homesick when i arrived and i really feel like wanna go back to Msia asap! I remember i was so excited when i first arrived here a few years ago but it's a different scenario now.

Singapore year end sale.

Had been stopping over in Singapore for the past few days and the stay was great,i think the SHOPPING was even greater, thus, the tiredness at this stage.
It's the year end sale around this time and also the holiday season,thus, there were people EVERYWHERE! Man...I thought i was in Shanghai or Hong Kong or Tokyo, everywhere i went,there were just people, people and people around you.

Despite the people,i was still able to do some shopping till the very last penny i had in my wallet, teehee. Sorry to say to my dear boyfriend that i was just able to get a pair of Crocs for him, and that's upon his request haha....But i'm sure he understands my situation.
I'm currently blogging at the Changi Airport,i'm waiting for my flight at 01:10am to Perth and i guess the waiting time is still very long, it's just 9:34pm now. I thought there's wifi but yeah, there's wifi provided that if you pay. Anyway, they provide free internet service that only limit 15minutes per person. I suppose that's not so bad at all.
Will update more once i touch down and certainly with photos...oh photos....so many to sort.

Baby on board.

I'm leaving tomorrow! Yeah, the excitement of welcoming the little bundle of joy accelerated since the day my brother sent a sms to my parents saying that "they are going to be grandparents by year end", so here it is, it's December now! The due date is drawing nearer and nearer to us and i suppose everyone is "thrilled", especially those first-time-grandparents and first-time-aunt (ME).

So to say, the first-time aunt Alice bought her niece (i suppose) this cute little jumpsuit and the matching teensy tiny socks and little head band. I love seeing baby girls wearing head band, especially when they have no hair, wahahaha. Can you just imagine how cute she will look? I was thinking that i'll still wear the head band on the baby's head even though she's a BOY, wahahaha. (Evil Aunt Alice!)

I guess that's the best Christmas present my parents get, ever! In view of my brother had never give them any presents before.

People I Met.

We meet people from all walks of life all the time and it's inevitably for us to avoid get bumped into by a scumbag or conman once in a while in our daily life. They will just somehow emerge at your doorstep or

A conman came to my office the other day saying that he's of an ex-army association, asking people for donation for a wheelchair or other necessary equipments for the disabled ex-militants or so, according to him.

When he stepped into my office, he said: Hey girl, you have gained some weight ya....

Looking at him with a "not-so-happy" face: What do you want?

It was at this point that i realize he's been here once selling me some fake tickets,being a benevolent person,i bought one ticket from him for RM20 and he's here again today??Ok, i will not be so kind today.

Scumbag: Oh,i wanna see your boss,i know him.

Me: Someone's inside the room now, you wait.

Scumbag:Ok OK I can wait. Oh by the way, what business are you doing here?

Me (annoyed): You don't know what business we are doing here? You said you know my boss.

Scumbag (abit annoyed by my tone too): Aiya,I forgot since i din't see him for a long time. You'll forget how to operate the computer even though you are using it everyday !(WTH he's talking about?)

Me: No, i won't forget a thing if i am using it everyday, how is that possible?

Scumbag: ......... (walked away to my colleague's table) What's your boss's name?

Colleague: You don't know who's my boss? You said you know him??

Scumbag: ......... (walked away with an even annoyed face) How long do I still have to wait? The person has been inside the room for quite sometime.

Me: Yeah. I don't know how long it will take, you can leave if you can't afford to wait any longer.Or, you can leave your name and message to me, i will tell my boss later.

Scumbag: No,i don't wanna talk to you,it's your boss that i wanna see.

Me: So you wait. I'm very busy now, don't disturb me anymore.

Scumbag: Ah...you know what, actually i am from this ex-army association, blah blah blah...... (at the same time, showing his identification pass, his "police permit" and so on to me)

Me looking at all the stuffs he was showing, thinking "ex-army?? He said he's from other government department previously, how could it be different this time?"

Me: You were from a different government body when you came last time, how come different again this time? Where is your office? I need to call to verify.

Scumbag: No, you never see me before and i never see you before. What different body? I'm from the ex-army blah blah......... My office is very far, i've got all these letters to prove blah blah........

Me: Why would you say i've gained some weight if you never see me before? How far is far?

Scumbag: HM....KK

Me: KK? I don't think it will waste much of my money to call to KK. What's the number?

Scumbag: Ah...I think i will come again tomorrow.

He never return since.

It annoys me the most when people come asking for money like i owe them or asking for a favor like i ought to do for them. Don't they know you have to give before they can take? I wonder why they would rather spend that much of effort and time thinking how to con people and making up fake documents and identification pass but they just could not make their brains think straight? Perhaps they have got no brains heh?

On a separate note, a man has been calling to the office looking for my boss for about a month now and he'll just say he's a "kawan"(friend) of my boss and he just wanna "cerita" (talk abit) with my boss. But,i would tell him "the boss has gone out, the boss is not in, the boss is in the estate etc. Ha....I bet he's just someone who pretends to know the boss and with an ultimate objective - to get money. He didn't bother to call anymore, that's good for me, i don't have to lie anymore.

There are people from all walks of life - Every type of mischievous, brain-less and think they can get something for free people.

Why change love?

I believe most of us at a certain stage of life, especially when you are in a relationship, once hoped the other half will CHANGE for us, change for the sake of the relationship or for the future (if there is any). I myself once was thinking like that too, perhaps if he is like this, i will be happier or the relationship will be better, or vice versa. Unfortunately, if we are hoping the other person will change himself/herself to suit us,that is the source of our unhappiness in our life.
As time goes by and as i grow up, i realize that this is something impossible, WHAT? Asking someone else to change their attitude? OR changing your own just to suit that other person's taste? NO ... Relationship is not about changing anything,it's about 2 different persons who have different characters and personalities to learn to love and respect each other, so much so to learn to grow, appreciate,cherish and love together.

There was once during a tea session with a friend where he asked me that if he'd asked a girl to make some changes,then only he sees that as ok, does he really like this girl? I don't think so. If you really like the person,why would you ask him/her to change?

On another note,the boyfriend went out to console his friend then told me that the guy's girlfriend had this idea that her boyfriend was making his friends a priority over her. I suppose by saying this, the girl expects the boyfriend to ditch all his friends over her and make himself available 24/7 just for her, doesn't she know that everyone needs some space, be it for socializing or some self quiet time?

Viewing all these scenario,i think it's not easy to sustain a relationship, let alone a very good and intimate relationship. People, let's learn to trust yourself, trust the people around you and have faith in your relationship. By the way,it's Advent Year now,let's spread the love!

It's December.

What strike your mind when you see "December"?

For me, it means:

  1. The last month of every year
  2. I'll find myself a little bit busier than ever - in work,i have the feeling that i've to rush to complete something
  3. I'll have parties to attend (if there is any)
  4. I'll start counting down the days to leap to another brand new year
  5. I'll think of PRESENTS, GIFTS and YUMMY MEALS!

I can't spend my Christmas and New Year with the boyfriend this year as i'll be out of town. Instead of having a white christmas,i suppose i'll have a "red/orange" christmas cum new year as it's SUMMER in Perth now.The family is getting exciting each and everyday as my brother Alan send his reporting sms-es to inform us how Adeline is doing now and also the condition of the pregnancy,Thank God that EVERYTHING is going fine and we shall all await the arrival of little Chloe.

I can't believe that i was just blogging about Alan and Adeline's wedding somewhere about 2 years ago and now i'll have to blog about their first child,which is my niece. Of course,it's all fun and joyful. I was shopping for some baby sign for them to stick on their car saying "Baby on Board" and i saw those cute little baby clothes, pyjamas and so on,making me wanna buy everything as they were ALL so adorable. Plus, Discovery Home & Health is showing baby's birth everyday when i got home and i happen to watch that everyday with my mum. Also,i am reading Karen Cheng's blog on parenting, pregnancy and so on, until there's at one point that i think i am so ready to have a baby, yes BABY come....OMG. But i'll reserve that thought for now on, till i see how my brother's encounter with parenthood. I suppose it NO easy job, despite all parents are willingly to "enjoy" the whole process.

Well,since Christmas is near and it's natural that you'll think of something you deserve after 1 year of hard work.However, after listing down the stuffs that i wish i can have,i think i have put myself in a dilemma simply because i don't want to spend ALL the BONUS at one go. I'll tell you why as my wish list goes like this:-

  1. A digital camera - mine was broken for some reason and it's not worthy to repair it - definitely going for CANON
  2. An ipod Nano Video / ipod Touch - which can be substituted with 1 iphone, really
  3. An iphone - not out in Malaysia yet,probably can strike this off
  4. A designer's brand handbag - which one should i go for? Nope,i'm not being materialistic please
  5. I am still thinking .........

See,that's why. I'm contradicting myself again! Argh.......

p/s: I'm liking the new template of my blog.

Happy 12 Months.

Just when i thought you said nothing at all.....

You always have your way of humour to cheer me up;

Just when i thought you don't care.....

You always call me at the right time;

Just when i thought you are insensitive.......

You actually take note in every word i say;

Just when i thought you are just "cool".........

You show me how cute you can be;

Just when i thought you were mad at me because i threw tantrums at you.......

You always utter the sweetest words to calm me down;

Just when i thought today will be just an ordinary date....

You came walking towards me with this......

Thank you Darling. Happy 12 months!

Probloggers, anyone?

OK,first i have to confess that i am a blog reader (i don't wanna call myself a blog stalker,OK) where i am regularly reading few others' blogs everyday(i added RSS Feed of these blogs, -__-), it's just like reading the news paper where,i get to know what's happening on other people at other places. That's all, just for fun and that's what blog is for. Oh, did i mention that the news nowadays are just making me sick and frightened.
Then, i saw that there's a new post on KennySia about Pro blogger Wedding, "WTH is pro blogger?" was the first question that popped up my mind as i cant really digest "pro blogger" - a long word eh, too many "o" and "g" i think. Anyway, to my dismay again, like i said, the news nowadays are really "sickening", or should i say, the person's idea of getting sponsorship for his wedding is "sickening"? I mean,it's a wedding for God's sake and you are asking people to sponsor for that? What on earth is going on? I am sure every one's interpretation to "wedding" is way different from this problogger, but every one's interpretation will have a similar meaning at some point and that's "it's suppose to be a sweet,romantic and loving etc", or at least, a self respected one, i would say. If you are asking for sponsorship for your wedding,i don't think you are respecting yourself nor your other half, or even the entire family from both sides.
On a separate note, blackjettas also received an email from this "pro-problogger" (i have to add another pro,i just have to) and expressed their opinions about his action too and i couldn't agree more with what they said in their blog (kudos for that,+__+) .
I wonder, what's his wife's reaction to all these 99.9% negative comments? I would rather elope or worse, break up with this fella for being such a cheapskate groom,or worst, she actually agree with the idea. The next question is, what if he successfully attracted sponsors for all that he needs for a wedding? For example, a diamond ring,does he have to return the ring to the sponsor? For those who follow Hong Kong's major film academy award, the gorgeous actresses who are putting on million and million of jewelry will have to return the bling-bling to the sponsors after the award ended. So, does this pro-blogger need to do so? Now, try imagine you are having everything that you ever wanted for a dream wedding and having to return all to the sponsors after the wedding? WTH....Well, at least you'll still have the memory that need not to be returned.
Anyway,one would think that it's none of our business to talk about other's wedding, i am glad that he has called this sponsorship project off and getting himself and his wife a decent wedding. My heartfelt congratulations to you!
